▮ YOUR PARTY GRINDS WHILE YOU WORK

THE PITCH
Taskbar Hero showed that a game can live in the thinnest slice of your screen. TBRO takes that idea to Rune-Midgarts: a party of Ragnarok heroes grinds monster waves in a strip along your taskbar, no attention required. Pop open a window to change jobs, sort your bag, or plot your next map — then close it and let them fight on.
FEATURES
Your party fights monster waves in a slim band across the taskbar. Targeting, skills and loot are all handled for you — no clicking required.
Start as a Novice and climb all the way to 4th-class — 34 jobs across the sword, magic, bow, faith, shadow and merchant lines, each with real skills.
Step away or close the app entirely — a seeded simulator advances your grind. Come back to earned EXP, zeny and drops waiting to be claimed.
Turn drops into potions, flasks and elemental weapons. An Alchemist guild, brewing and forging turn raw loot into real power.
Recruit up to eight heroes, bench the ones resting, and trade gear with other players on a live player marketplace.
Every hero, monster and item is a genuine Ragnarok Online sprite — from Porings to MVPs — set across the maps of Rune-Midgarts.
CLASSES
Every hero begins as a Novice. Where they end up is your call — climb any of the six job lines to their 4th-class peak.
Hover a hero to see them move · these are live in-game sprites
THE LOOP
Pick your heroes and drop into a stage. They march in and start clearing waves automatically.
Skills fire, monsters fall, loot drops. It keeps going while you work — and keeps simulating after you close it.
Change jobs, upgrade gear and brew consumables, then push into Illusion, Nightmare and Hell difficulty.
SCREENSHOTS
GET TBRO
One download. Your heroes start grinding the moment you launch.
No installer, nothing for your browser to flag — just unzip anywhere and run TBRO.exe, and it keeps itself up to date automatically after that. First launch may show a blue Windows “unknown publisher” notice (we're an unsigned indie build, so it's a false alarm): click More info → Run anyway. Prefer a classic Start-menu installer? Get the .exe instead.
Questions, bug reports, party recruitment and patch notes — the whole TBRO crew hangs out on Discord.
QUESTIONS
Completely. TBRO is a non-commercial fan project — there's nothing to buy and no ads.
No. TBRO is an unofficial, fan-made idle game that uses Ragnarok Online's art and lore. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Gravity Co., Ltd.
Yes. It sits quietly along your taskbar and keeps battling in the background. Even when fully closed, your progress is simulated and waiting for you the next time you open it.
No. TBRO is completely standalone. Download it, run it, and play — no external client, login or subscription required.
No. TBRO is a small unsigned indie build, so Windows SmartScreen and some browsers flag it purely on reputation — not because anything's wrong with it. That's exactly why the main download is a portable ZIP: browsers don't block .zip files, so it always comes through. Just unzip anywhere and run TBRO.exe — it even keeps itself updated after that. If the first launch shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway. We're working on a signed build to remove the warnings entirely.
Windows 10 or 11. The download is around 430 MB (it bundles all the sprites and audio) and the game sips CPU and memory since it only animates a thin strip.
The desktop shell targets Windows first. Other platforms may follow down the road.
